What we can alter
- Suits and jackets: sleeve length, taking in or letting out the waist, shoulder adjustments, re-lining
- Trousers: hemming, waist adjustments, tapering the leg
- Shirts: sleeve length, slimming the body, collar fixes
- Dresses and evening gowns: hemming, taking in, adjusting straps and bodices
- Wedding dresses: fitting adjustments, hem and bustle work, small repairs before the big day
- Repairs: split seams, replacing buttons and zips, fixing linings.
How it works
- Bring the garment in. If you can, wear it so we can see exactly how it fits on you, and bring the shoes you’ll wear with it.
- We pin and measure. We mark the changes while you’re wearing it and agree on the work and price before we start.
- We do the work. Most alterations are ready in 1 days. Tell us if you’re in a hurry, and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
- Try it on and collect. Try it on once more when you pick it up, so we can make any final touches on the spot.
Good to know
- Not every garment can be changed in every way. Letting out depends on how much spare fabric is in the seams, so we’ll tell you honestly what will and won’t work.
- Wedding dresses and formal gowns need more time, so please come in at least 2 weeks before your event.
- Optional: Alterations on garments made by Tricia & Verona are free within 3 months of collection.
